Where football meets samba

During Brazil's matches in the competition, we transformed a 4,500 m² structure into an arena, featuring live broadcasts of the games, live samba and pagode performances, DJs, and a complete food court.

More than just a space to watch the matches, the festival celebrated the convergence of sports, entertainment, and Brazilian popular culture.

Where football meets samba

The temple of São Paulo football was the stage for the Football & Samba Festival during the Brazilian National Team's matches in the 2026 World Cup.

Held at Mercado Pago Hall, inside the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu complex, the festival became the meeting point for Brazilian fans: bringing together different audiences and stories around a single goal, to root for the national team and experience this moment collectively.

During Brazil’s matches in the tournament, we transformed a 4,500 m² venue into a fan festival featuring live match broadcasts, live samba and pagode performances, DJs, and a full food and beverage experience.

More than just a place to watch the matches, the festival celebrated the intersection of sport, entertainment, and Brazilian culture.

HOW IT ALL CAME TOGETHER

Effect Sport was responsible for the project from start to finish: from the arena design and music curation to the negotiation of sponsorships and media partnerships, all the way to the complete operation on Brazil's match days. One of the main challenges was the change of venue during the planning phase; moving from inside the stadium to the Mercado Pago Hall required repositioning the entire narrative of the event, which shifted to being anchored in the meeting of football and samba, rather than the experience on the pitch.
