In 2016, the Olympic year, Effect Sport was the agency chosen to work with the official Auction of the Rio 2016 Games. Throughout the competition, objects related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Rio de Janeiro were launched for sale online worldwide. The auctions of official memorabilia items took place throughout the competition.

Over 40 thousand items were available at www.leilaooficial.rio2016.com/. Some of the official objects such as volleyball and basketball balls, flags of the Opening and Closing ceremonies, autographed torches by Olympic medalists, among others, had their auction started at only R$1.

The agency was also responsible for the full disclosure of the project, in partnership with the Rio 2016 Olympic Committee, and for gathering Olympic stars and medalists to sign exclusive items. Among the great names of this list, the auction was attended by Pelé, Vanderlei Cordeiro de Lima, Rafaela Silva, Fabi Alvim, Diego Hypolito, among others.
